So we're at Tulum, miles of palm-thatched palapas, everybody's image of paradise but for the mosquitoes. The restaurant workers maintain the insects are much worse than usual but the well-stocked selection of bug spray in the overpriced tienda persuades me otherwise.

Sights: the Milky Way. Michael and I sit on the beach and argue whether the nebula we can see from here is the center of the galaxy or only the remote arm of it that includes our solar system.
